You can use the calculator without an account. A shared result stores component and scenario choices in the URL, not private hardware telemetry.
Information you provide
Calculator choices
The CPU and GPU calculator accepts hardware and scenario selections. It does not require an account or scan your computer. A result can include component IDs, resolution, frame target and workload.
Messages you send
The contact form may collect your name, email address and message. Do not include passwords, private login details or files that contain personal information.
Technical information and analytics
Standard server logs may include an IP address, browser type, referring page, requested URL and timestamp. We also use Clicky, a website analytics service, to understand visits, referring pages, device and browser categories, and how readers move through the site. Clicky may use cookies or similar identifiers and receives technical request information when its script loads. This information helps us find broken journeys and improve the calculator and editorial library; it is not used to scan your computer or read private hardware data. How information is used
Information may be used to deliver calculator responses, maintain security, diagnose errors, understand aggregate site usage, answer messages and improve component data or editorial content.
- Run the requested calculator or widget action.
- Find errors and protect the service from abuse.
- Measure which tools and guides help readers continue their research.
- Reply to a correction or support message.
- Improve data only after a source or test is reviewed.
Embeddable widget
When another site uses our calculator widget, the browser requests the embed from this domain. The publisher remains responsible for notices and consent rules on its own site.
Retention and your choices
Contact messages should be kept only as long as needed to answer and maintain relevant records. You may ask for access, correction or deletion by emailing [email protected].
Cookies and your browser choices
The calculator itself does not require an account cookie. Clicky may set analytics cookies or use similar browser storage to distinguish visits. You can block or clear these through your browser privacy controls; the calculator and articles remain available when analytics are blocked. Where local law requires consent before analytics storage, the applicable consent choice should be honored before optional cookies are used.
